Hotel Praktik Bakery deserves five stars for three reasons: its delicious, freshly baked pastries, its tasty sandwiches, and, most importantly, its wonderful receptionists, Rud and Marta. Both were incredibly welcoming, professional, and helpful, making our stay much more enjoyable. The rooms are quite small and very basic, with nothing particularly special about them. However, the quality of the bakery and the exceptional hospitality of Rudd and Marta truly make this hotel stand out. Boutique hotel, based around a working bakery on the ground floor. Modern comfortable rooms. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast featuring products from the bakery was excellent. Great Hotel if you want quick access to Barcelona City Centre.
The room was great size with good shower.
Downstairs is an amazing bakery/cafe. Very reasonably priced and the best pastries we had in BCN. Also best Cortados!
Would highly reccomend and can't fault for the money paid for the room.
Located one block away from the Gaudi house and the main shopping street. Rambles Gothic quarter 20 minutes walk

Mostly great!  Bakery is amazing, location is superb.  The room was nice and comfy.  The staff was very friendly and helpful.  The only problem was a flaw in the shower door design that allows water to poor out onto the floor.  Had to use extra towels to clean it up and the whole floor was then slippery.

I stayed there for 3 nights, and i enjoyed my stay there.

The hotel is in a perfect location in the Eixample just behind Casa Mila, the area is very safe and quite at night, full of restaurants and shopping.

The hotel is very near to the metro station and bus stops, so it was easy to get around the city.

The room was tidy and clean and the bed was comfy. Also the bathroom was clean but i like to have a single bathroom rather than separate toilet, shower and sink.

The bakery at the hotel lobby have good items and very delicious.

The staff were helpful and friendly.

This bakery hotel is a gem and so happy that I book this, even though it was just one night in Barcelona, but it was a wonderful stay.  It was very delightful to have a bakery in the hotel with great breakfast lunch and even dinner items readily available and fresh and very delicious. The room was clean and spacious - quite relative considering the price. I did not avail the breakfast but having the bakery at the ground floor is very convenient, I ate there twice during my stay. The location was close to the center and within walking distance of the metro (Diagonal station).

For improvement - on my first night, I encountered a cockroach on the floor, which I disposed of myself. I chose not to report it during the subsequent days because it appeared to be an isolated incident. However, for the sake of transparency, I am noting it in this review.

I stayed at the Hotel Praktik Bakery recently (June 2026) for 2 nights with my partner and we both loved the hotel. The location is perfect - close to a metro station, shops and so many bars and restaurants. A great location for exploring Barcelona and within walking distance of Segrada Familia.
The hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are small but clean and well decorated with a gorgeous shower!
The standout for us was the bakery - you wake up to the smell of freshly baked bread! You can watch the bakers throughout the day which is a lovely touch.
There's so much choice from baguettes to pastries and cake and everything we tried was delicious (we bought breakfast and lunch from the bakery both days). The complimentary coffee for hotel guests was great too.
I would highly recommend staying here if you visit Barcelona! We will definitely stay here again. It's a perfect hotel for a city break and the bakery is such a special touch.
